Socialized Medicine, Czars and ACORN – Is it time to sing Waterloo?

In late August, the lack of Justice Department announced an expansion of the investigation into the alleged use of torture on Islamic terrorists. No doubt, this decision originated within the Obama regime and probably was approved by Obama himself. It is no coincidence that this announcement came at a time when Democrats were being mauled in town hall meetings, all across America.  Obamacare wasn’t playing well to the general public so a diversion was developed. Once again, Obama reversed himself and threw the CIA under the bus.

It is very evident that the White House felt that the resultant uproar in the State Media would drown out the TEA party protests and allow socialized medicine to slink in under the radar. Imagine their chagrin when it didn’t work.

This is a very significant but little noted event. For the first time ever, the State Media failed their Supreme Leader and weren’t able to steer the American public back to the Marxist Party line. Despite their attempts to marginalize the protest movement, the uproar and anger over Obamacare continued to grow in volume and passion.

With personal approval numbers falling  like a meteor, Obama arrogantly assumed that his shiny, teflon image would never be tarnished and extended his vacation getaway for another week. Then the Van Jones scandal and the ever growing controversy over the proliferation of illegal appointees came to the forefront further eroded the messianic image so diligently marketed by the White House.

There’s an old saying that goes “Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.” Though megalomania clouds ones perception of the world, eventually, a ray of truth must shine through. Is it possible that we are seeing the first chink in the Chosen Ones’ armor?

Last week, in the face of a failing image, failed policies and a failed presidency, Obama ordered 11 ACORN workers thrown to the wolves. After all, with over 450,000 workers being paid with billions of dollars of taxpayer money, sacrificing a few to further the radicalization of America is a worthy gesture. To bad it failed. All of America is aware of the corruption and criminal nature of ACORN as well as Obamas’ intimate involvement with and support of these policies. Trying to bolster his image as a law abiding, gun toting, God fearing American in this manner was a dead end street.

On Wednesday, 9 September ‘09, a joint session of Congress was addressed in what was intended to be the second part of a “One, Two” punch. It’s rather ironic that the most memorable of the speech was a Republican speaking out against blatant lies in a manner reminiscent of President Bush and the Democrats. Apparently a teleprompter, charisma and an adoring media can’t salvage a disastrous plan or an entirely mediocre speech. Add another failure to the ever growing list.

Meanwhile, a young Jedi Knight by the name of James O’Keefe was preparing his own knockout punch.

For nearly two years, anyone with the common sense to get in out of the rain and who could read, has known about ACORN. Those of us who read further are aware of the intimate involvement that the poseur has had with them, He was trained, seasoned and underwent even further radicalization by them. Since being anointed, he has pumped billions of dollars of your money into their coffers. At no time during his campaign or since has he spoken out against them.

Now there are two videos in the national spotlight which expose ACORN for all but the most dedicated cool aid drinkers. Anyone who now supports ACORN falls into one of two groups. Group number one is simply to stupid to ever know better. Group number two are those who are so radical that even knowing that they are supporting a cancer on our society, they will continue to do so.

In a surprising move Friday, the Census Bureau severed their relationship with ACORN for all efforts relating to the 2010 census. Part of the reason was that “(ACORN) may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 Census efforts.” Note how conveniently they ignored the fact that they were planning on conducting one of the most intrusive invasions of privacy in American history.

It is readily apparent that it took the spectacular exposure of a portion of ACORN criminal practices for the Census Bureau to act. Had these videos not been released, would the Census Bureau have continued to do business with a federally funded criminal organization?

ACORN responded by blaming FOX News and conservatives for fueling the controversy while ignoring the fact that in less than a week, 11 of their employees had been charged with voter fraud and 4 others were facing various felony charges. Since the November election, anyone showing enough guts to disagree with the White House has been labeled a racist. We can only wonder how long it will be before ACORN plays the trusty old race card. Surely even they will come to realize how cliché and worn out that tactic is becoming. Those who predicted that last years election signaled the end of racism in America may be correct in a way that they never imagined. Remember the story about the boy crying wolf?

Also, what about ACORNs ties to other government agencies? Between 2003 and 2006, HUD alone gave ACORN and their affiliates nearly 10 million dollars. There are billions of dollars of stimulus money unaccounted for. Some watch dog groups believe that ACORN has received several billion dollars this year alone with up to six billion more scheduled for next year. How many fraudulent tax returns, brothels and votes will a billion dollars buy?

A recent poll by Fox has shown that out of over 167 thousand respondents, 99% believe that ACORN should be investigated by the Justice Department. Any administration with an ounce of integrity would have already called for an investigation.

To date, there is a thundering silence from the White House that few have thought to question. There’s been no condemnation, no expressions of concern, no promise of accountability. It is entirely possible that an in-depth investigation of ACORN is the last thing that the Gangster in Chief wants. Why is he blinking? What does he have to hide?

If I had to bet, I would first remember the Black Panther thugs who were recently given a pass by the Justice Department for threatening and intimidating voters in last years election. It’s patently obvious to me that the current regime considers itself and all its’ associates to be above the law. There will be no investigation, there will be no prosecution. Eric Holder has been bought and paid for by Obama and his radical friends. There are dark times ahead for America.
